3 Design Tips For A Unique Bathroom

These days, it’s pretty common to have your bathroom remodelled. If you’re planning something like this, then you might feel a little worried about falling into a template. People are having renovations left and right, but it seems that many of them are sticking to few set ideas. If you want a bathroom that’s both stunning and unique, here are a few suggestions you might like.

So, you’ve had the building inspections done and everything’s got a green light. Now to start focussing on some interesting themes for your bathroom. One thing you might want to steer clear of is the standard bathroom template. I’m talking about the white, blocky and artificial layout you’ll see in almost every showroom. This is fine for some people, but if you really love your bathroom you might want something more relaxing. What could be more tranquil than an emphasis on nature? Try going for wood panelling instead of plain white walls, or adding in a polished stone countertop. If you want a unique way of giving your bathroom a natural feel, then fill it with house plants! Some designers even fix a vertical garden on the wall of bathrooms. If it’s set out in the right way, plant life can brighten up your entire bathroom.

There are a lot of techniques you can apply to create a unique bathroom. One which might not have occurred to you is moving the whole thing! A lot of people feel that their bathroom is cramped, and tucked away compared to the other rooms in their home. If this is the case, you might want to consider an en-suite. To make your bathroom for more open and large, why not plan it as a simple extension of your master bedroom? This can have an incredibly potent effect on the feel of the entire area. When you have a gorgeous bathroom which isn’t closed in on all sides, you’ll find the environment much more relaxing. You’ll also find it much easier to get up for work when your very own en-suite is a few steps away!

My final tip is to get a freestanding bath. Depending on the home you have, this can take some advance planning. If you’re a little squeezed for space in your bathroom, make sure to consider this carefully. If you can get one of these tubs, you’ll be gaining a fascinating focal point for your whole room. This is the one area where you can probably drop the extravagance. A simple, white tub standing in the centre of the floor can really set the mood for rest and tranquillity. Consider the rest of the room when choosing a shape for this. A rounded tub will soften the mien of an angular room, and vice versa.

These tips will form the base of your new bathroom design, but it doesn’t stop there! There’s loads of inspiration around if you look for it. After some careful planning, you’ll have a bathroom which is built for you and no one else!
